This product will be of special interest to seniors who grew up when fountain pens were still the 'only game in town' and have seriously collected them over the years. Now, at last, you can store, see and enjoy all your fine writing instruments in one place at one time! While specifically designed for up to 60 of your fine fountain pens, it works equally as well for your ballpoints, rollerballs and mechanical pencils. Has 54 pockets for pen barrels up to 9/16" in diameter and 6 pockets for pen barrels up to 5/8" in diameter-that is, your 'widebodies'. To help protect your prized possessions from 'walking away', our carousel comes with two key operated camlocks with one common key for both locks. Our carousel is not a mass-produced injection-molded item, but individually hand-crafted by highly-skilled artisans in the U.S.A. (these are the same folks who make precision models for the aerospace industry).

As you can see, its design is inspired by the world's finest 12-sided celluloid pens. In particular, the stationary housing, which consists of a circular base, a 12-sided vertical wall and a removably lockable circular lid, is constructed of optical-quality, heavy-duty 3/16"clear acrylic sheet stock. The pens themselves are vertically seated in individual holes of a rotatable 'lazy susan' platform, which consists of 3 circular 'shelves' (made of a softer resin so as not to scratch your pens) attached to a vertical acrylic spindle that extends through the housing lid on the upper end and balances on a fixed pointed dowel pin emanating from the housing base on the other end. The spindle cleverly breaks apart just below the lid so that the lid can be removed without removing the rotatable platform at the same time. Having an outside diameter of 10.9" and height of 8.2", our carousel can be safely stored in a standard lockable filing cabinet when you are away from home.

To rotate the platform carrying the pens, simply rotate the knob at the top of the spindle. However, the rotatable platform can easily be lifted out for dusting or cleaning when necessary. So if you think your pen collection is now worthy of being displayed in a museum-quality display case that probably costs no more than one of your own fine pens, then our carousel may be just what you're looking for.
